me (30), mom (52), and grandma (71) are officially entering the world of make-up wearing women this year. christmas got us each stocked up...

darn those AmazonOrders that did not make it on time:
he designed his own shoes & then i got them personalized. when they get here, there will be some celebrating. perhaps i'll post them.
my mom & i were up til 4am attempting to put this bad boy (below) together. i jokingly said i needed to rent-a-husband for jobs like this...but next year i might. :) this photo is of the boys (yes, the neighborhood kiddos migrated over for much of the afternoon) playing with the parts as we got them together.
luckily my uncle & my cousin came to the rescue christmas day. they are pretty much our sports table heroes!

i was officially gifted my sewing machine!! and because she knows me oh so well, mom also found me wonderful vintage apron patterns. and grandma passed down an adorable sewing box she's had for over 20years, that she and aunt lynn filled with sewing necessities. i am working on my sewing nook. now that i'm equipped, i should be attempting new kinds of projects. i can't wait!

finally i'll share that my cute boy and i gifted grandma with a book she's been talking about for quite a while MyEverDearCharlie. it's a story of love letters (put in a diary)
written by one of our family members to her husband and published by their grandkids (my grandma's cousins). or something like that...my grandma has talked about it SO much recently i should have all the logistics memorized! of course, i do not. anyway, she was teary and excited. photos of a lot of our family history in missouri are in the book and that made her more teary.
