this is a very interesting moment I am in. this morning i dropped my cute boy off at school and ran a couple of errands, the final of which landed me at the grocery store. i came home, entered a bazillion tamale orders into the spreadsheet (you guys rock!) and began working on my church calling. about 4 seconds into it, the phone rang informing my now cute vomiting boy was ready to be picked up from school. within about 8 minutes he was home: pale, slow, hot, stripped to undies and curled up in a ball on the couch with a trashcan nearby. all this while i rubbed his tummy, cuddled him, called my mom for the 7up we took her a few days ago, and sadly thought of the ice cream alec and i shared last night.
so, with my fate laid out in front of me, i've been nursing him to health and frantically (but silently of course as to not disturb the babe) getting my own house in order (laundry, dishes, and cleaning the restrooms and such) for the moment my own hurling begins. nice language, yes?
he's so cute....every time he has "been sick" today, he says (in between dips into the trash can) "say a prayer, mom!" and so i do, and all is well. he is working his body through it.
and i am either willing it away from me, or preparing for the inevitable.
well, both actually.
