hellooooo 5th grade.

so, the time has come that my cute boy has officially entered the world of 5th grade. his last year of elementary school. you know the one where he is the big kid on campus? yeah, that's him. and his peeps.
totally
crazy.
crazy

crazy.

we had a NieNie inspired back to school celebration. a yummy dinner for my cute boy packed full of all his favorite things. check out the most fantastic artichoke ever.
we could not stop ooohing and ahhing over it. somehow it was the most delicious dinner one could have. alec even sported an origami paper covered crown with a lei of smarties (wishing him lots of smart wishes for the school year, of course). and perfectly placed in the middle of the festivities was the back to school blessing offered by our home teachers...that i can't stop bragging about. they really happened upon our home at the perfect time. and as soon as they left we played tag with my mom.
yay for nanna.

after dinner we held a fantastic little fashion show where the cute boy picked out his ensembles for the 1st week. there might have even been a red carpet involved...hmm.
soon, my child was asking to go to bed. excited about the day ahead perhaps??
in bed reading 8:30pm.
eyes
still
open...beyond frustrated with himself 12:30am.
even still, he popped out of bed bright and early with many minutes to spare. so we took pictures.

happy 5th grade, my cute boy.
