i adore this woman.
she is wonderful to me.
each year she delights in this holiday,
as she was born on the 4th of July.
JULY 4, 1937.
and so each year as a family as we celebrate Independence Day, we also celebrate her. funny side note: a few years ago she was coming out of heart surgery and the anesthetic was wearing off. as she was wheeled by us in her bed, she sat up with a HUGE smile and said, "I pledge allegiance!" in basically the most patriotically loopy-druggged enthusiastic way possible. it was a fantastic way to lighten the mood...and gave us some fabulous dirt to tease her on. :)
i love that about her.
