the bird clock.

i'm celebrating a bit right now because i have had my eye on this particular little guy for a long time. well, since my last internship. in the office one of my supervisors hung this clock. i LOVED it because it adds a little something to the day, every hour. socially, what happens to people when they hear a bird chirping at the hour is just fascinating and i love it! i remember looking around wondering what this little sound was...really, a bird in the office?? and quietly at their desks the ladies giggled and rolled their eyes. and that is exactly what i love about it. one hour you might roll your eyes. the next you might want to gently toss a ball at it and not mind if it accidentally broke. but the next hour you will be laughing because really....another bird is chirping.

i had great visions of my classroom and my kiddos every time i heard that clock. and now i found it! i can't wait to make it mine...and share it with a class full of children, giving them yet another reason to think their teacher is kind of crAzY.
