power to the journal.

since the 1st I've been back in the groove of my old journaling ways- wooHoO! it has been beautiful. i am a writing fool. i am so verbal that it really helps to put my thoughts and feelings to words in order to sort. whether i have something to say or not, i always learn something about myself or the situation and it's a powerful part of the process for me.
this morning, i had an opportunity to purge. completely purge some frustrations that have been building for quite a while. oh. my. word. everyone should have this experience. i've been struggling with some of my friendships. and how simple it was to find paper and a pen could provide a visual of all that was once cooped in my head making me feel almost crazy. you know that feeling at the pit of your stomach like it isn't quite right, but you don't really have the time or energy or know-how to figure it out?? it was there. and when i saw the words i suddenly felt validated. i felt understood (even if I was the one understanding myself better). the pit was gone and clarity took it's place. my heart not racing as fast, yet nothing was even resolved...so fascinating!
if you haven't done it in a while...write. journal. purge. process. it's refreshing.
