last week a dear friend, immediately following childbirth.
a few days later the passing of a loving father of a fellow counselor i serve with in primary (the children's organization at church).
that was followed by frantic calls over the weekend from another friend needing to attend the funeral of an uncle to her new husband, and therefore needing a substitute for the week(ish).
and now today, my own mother enlightened me to an unexpected procedure that will be occurring on thursday...a possible stint. did you know my mom even had heart problems? yeah, so me either. my own heart is quite protected by my brain. and if my brain can't process, then i can't feel. so i'm not nervous or sad or scared, yet quite logical...let's get in there and fix it. and that will be that. and perhaps it is an instinctive balance that kicks in in regards to my mom because she is so typeA and emotional and terrified (naturally) that how can i possibly add to that? so i balance.
so i'm wondering, as i give you this list of people to keep in your thoughts, perhaps you can add my madre to the list. i think she'd like that. ;)

i had no idea. i wish you would have said something to me on the phone? i am getting silly thinking of fun things to do for friday the thriteenth. hopefully we can do something :) i will pray for your mom. i seriously hope that everything works out alright.
