a few tears have fallen at the end of each goodbye (see previous post). tonight was a wonderful, sweet evening celebrating a great start to my personal weight loss journey. 100pounds, remember? remember? i'm relishing in good friends. strong, supportive, encouraging, and motivating. goofy, serious, sentimental, kind, and umm oh fantastic. i adore them. there is a bonding experience when you can't look yourself in the mirror, but you know that 5 other people are looking at the very you that seems repulsive and they don't care. when my stomach contorts itself into the least flattering position, or as sweat is pouring down every part of my body, or as i uncoordinatedly punch all about until i catch the routine. they see me...and they still like me. and then i get to not care and refocus and grow (or shrink). it's wonderful. and then that dreamofaprofessional who looks at you endearingly and you melt and cry the whole way home. or maybe that was just me.
and would you like to know that my furniture in my classroom is officially arranged?! would you like to know that i love it?! should you know that i modeled my mentor cause that is the least complicated way and she's fantastic and i am happy to do just that? should you also know that i used the brilliantness of my sweet molly (lou) to assist me? my spontaneous plan was fool proof...no room at all for failure. and it is coming together quite nicely. even if that is all the further i got as i skipped out of school today. (it looked like walking, but i assure you it was skipping)
what a day.
girl power.
major classroom improvement.
power of 6 graduation.
i'm smiling with teary content eyes.
