TODAYs BLESSINGS:
1. my boss. holy moly my boss. sweet, kind, compassionate, loving, firm, knowledgeable, ADORABLE.
2. my assistant boss. his quirky, gotyourbackinaheartbeatself. i love him, too.
3. my school. filled with such kind, warm, welcoming people.
3. my kindergarten homies. they are every personality and quite a dreamy mix of genuinely supportive loads of fun.
4. the true concern at the sudden possibility of me actually NOT having a job on this sweet little campus of mine. and the feeling that there just might be a struggle in the office if the possibility came. "i will fight tooth and toenail for you"
5. the fear we all felt when the moment came for me to really be out of school (darn those numbers and logistics for pushing me -the newbe- out).
6. the disbelief and relief and awe that i felt as K made a brave career switch (grade level change after oh a wee 20years of teaching kinder!!!). this decision was THE DEFINING MOMENT that allowed me to keep my job.
7. the feeling of gratitude as tears welled from the roller coaster of chaos. what were the chances there'd be someone who might possibly be considering that kind of change at my precise perfect time? thank you thank you thank you for that.
8. the success of meet the teacher. can you imagine going to meet the teacher....but BEING the TEACHER? it was bizarre! but i did it. and while i was doing it i felt the rush of the moment, the comfort and ease i feel in that little world of mine, and the reminder that THIS is 1,000% what i'm supposed to be doing. i am more than in my zone. i am doing what HF needs me to be doing right now. the children, the parents...it was all quite a big moment.

and THIS is what so many people don't understand about our school That so many of our staff drive so long everday just to be where we are! It truly is a lovely place to be with lovely people! I'm so happy you are getting to stay! I was worried when I walked out and saw lots of tears!
You are so highly favored what an extreme blessing to have the opportunity to stay put!! We are very excited to have everyone stay where they are and do what we love. This is going to be an awesome year...
Wow. And Double wow. What a beautiful staff you work with. The children being taught by these dedicated, generous people are so blessed. You belong with such people, Stephanie.
