i am so in love with the weather. it's 70something this morning. my doors are open, the fan is on in my room, and my house is lit with a peaceful daylight glow. the only sound is of the trees in the wind and the far off sound of the fan. i sometimes feel like we live in our very own tree house because of the magnificent tree the engulfs our specific 2nd floor apartment.
i am off today. no sub assignment and off from the drive in. i almost kept my child home with me, but i know he has important responsibilities at school and only a couple of days left before his Fall Holiday. have you ever heard of such a thing?? he gets 5 1/2 days! i am not questioning it, merely just trying to determine how to make it fabulous.
my home has splashes of white, orange and black...pumpkins, spiders, lights and such allowing us to soak in the excitement that this month brings. i love it. it is one of my favorite months. my cute boy is planning his super villain attire and we're determining our halloween fun details. i'll even be at the drive in that morning and am so excited to dress up in all the fun (the $40 gift card for best costume is adding a little incentive to that!).
my heart is currently back and forth between 2 places for us to settle. a wonderful nook in austin, or the fabulous town of georgetown. i am emotional about and so completely drawn to both. there are lists of pros and cons, along with lots of pondering, prayer, and analyzing. and then i consider relocating all together and leaving our sweet home alabama (i often feel like reese in sweet home alabama here in my hometown). i was reading through some of my older posts and realized this is my 6th month of transition. and it was overwhelming me in month 1. i don't feel i have accomplished much since. we are simply just living. and maybe that's just what we are supposed to be doing. it is a lot less stressful than all that we were doing before, that's for sure.
today i will do some organizing and planning for our Fall Holiday fun. my heart is full and content, and it's a good feeling to have in the breaks of uncertainty and wonder. and also in the midst of my "i wants" that i have been having so bad lately. do you ever have those phases? geez, right now i am in the i want, i want, i want stage and i am happy to be taking a step back this morning. perhaps today i will instead look forward to a few things: meeting heather's baby, meeting candace's, and beth's too! (although meeting those 2 are a little ways off) a phone call from jeffery saying they are expecting one to meet, a visit to cassie's new wonderful home, a visit to utah to embrace the grimmer's, another trip to grandma's that my son is oober anxious for. lounging in my organized home (by the end of today). the moment i am certain of where i want us to be. the day my child lets me cut his bangs...they are driving me bonkers. and a few more too personal to share. i am so ready for the next.............
okay, ridiculous. i almost wrote that i am so ready for the next stage...meaning the job, the house, and so on. but you know what? i'm enjoying just what is now. isn't that what i just got out of this? and now i'm full circle writing i can't wait for what's next? welcome to my brain. it's complex and strange.
happy fall. happy tuesday.
