i'm so proud of that boy of mine. the 12th birthday brought a growth spurt of maturity (he even "feels older"). and perhaps another spiritual growth spurt (with his earned priesthood and new responsibilities). and since i'm barely holding onto my 1 inch i have on him, i'm certain summer will bring a physical growth spurt to change that, too.he's mostly anticipating the shooting rifles part of his week away. we'll see how that goes. i'm sure he'll have some stories to tell!

Beautifully written Stephanie. It's hard when your children start being independent for whatever reason. He's a great kid and will make a great young man.
