today we are gathering our final belongings and preparations.today we are packing and loading.
tomorrow we are leaving.
10ish hours in the carro.
lots of those hours sucked into twilight (the audio version).
we will arrive in the grand state of missouri just in time to slip into bed.
the day after tomorrow we'll wake up to a highly anticipated event...the induction ceremony of my aunt into the State Hall of Fame! she broke a track record (I think 2) in high school and it (they) still haven't been broken! that cute 50 year old auntie is being celebrated and we are going to cheer her on!!
my grandma will be reuniting with all her siblings after a very long streak of only phone call and letter giving love. it gets harder to travel as you get older, you know?
should i slip in that i'll be meeting my own cute sister for the first time? abby pemento cheese? perhaps there will be a photo or two to share with you.
and our final day of our trip, all of our missouri peeps will gather for a reunion and we will visit, eat and be merry. and they will all meet my cute boy for the first time because it's really been 11 years since I was there last.
lots to prepare for...we're soooo excited!

Be careful, drive safely, all those things mothers say. Most of all ENJOY! I'm excited you will be reuniting with my big, wonderful country family AND of course reuniting with your dad's family and your newly found sister. What a GRAND event. Will miss you and please call me to keep me posted.
