over the summer, when i discovered pinterest, i was obsessing about these really fantastic things i was finding and trying to figure out how to make them make sense in my own classroom. after combining several ideas i came up with a few of my own versions of things. here are a few of my favorite parts of my workspace...
our class family wall, which also includes our class contract (with a LOT of words...but it's okay cause they wrote it themselves, right?). the frames are made with brown craft paper and i doodled all over them...i doodled 25 of these bad boys. i laminated them though cause i'm no dummy and can use them each year:) their little faces actually look just like them. that's one of my favorite parts.
and of course the precious little sofa that sits underneath it. they LOVE it. i got it at a yard sale over the summer and my mom helped me add the red binding (which was an idea that came to me in my sleep!). it's just their size, it's super comfy, and it makes us all happy. i wish wish wish i could show you pics of my peeps cause we already have many a pictures learning on the sofa.
and the chandelier might make me the happiest. i've wanted one since my first year and apparently all i needed was pinterest in my life to give me a tutorial. i'm so thankful for those that are on the ball enough to teach others! it took my mom and i 2 days to do the chandelier. it's made of wax paper and is a combination of 2 separate tutorials plus a little tweaking of our own.
(the quality of these pictures are not great, but hopefully you can get the gist of how these projects turned out for our little work space)
