happy 13th.

the TEENAGER requested dinner at Chuy's with the Nanna & Great Grandma

they happily obliged and the 4generations had a silly, yummy, fun time

(see evidence below)

 

although i didn't capture the singers, i captured the teenager enjoying the singers

and they gifted him with a push up (seriously his favorite!!)

at which point the silliness continued (in the form of meditation??)

 

my poor grandma was sitting across from me and she was particularly victim to my paparazzi-like behavior. 
nevertheless, the outcome is hilarious....LOVEyou, Grandma!

so then there was a proper cake & ice cream
 gathering of family to truly
 celebrate the boy.

he refused anything else, and I seriously had to put my foot down to even have this "gathering"
(it's NOT A PARTY...don't even suggest it or the teenager will come and stay with YOU until he's over it).

it happens to be that we live in a treehouse.

and the cute boy has a jillion immediate family members.

it was a packed house, but it was darn special.

and he LOVED it.

 

did you know my boy has a shoe obsession?

he does.

he only asked for money and basketball shoes (sounds very teenagerish, yes?).

Nanna took care of the shoes and had a cake modeled in the exact replica!

can you see the detail of the tongue?? seriously AMAZING. serious cakemakingSKILLS.

the shindig consisted of 2hrs of visiting & adoring & honoringALEC.

i'm not sure how it happened, but we did pull out the mustaches and, well.....

the evening ended with a video produced by his cute cousin sabrina of birthday messages, advice, and awesomeness. 
it was indeed a proper celebration.
