short snipit of saturday's happenings.

saturday oh saturday, blessed longest day ever saturday.
we awoke at dark-30, loaded 3 vehicles, beautified 3 generations (grandma, mom, and myself) in a way that needed to be done just right (precisely presentable), and drug our adrenaline filled, overworked selves up the highway a short jaunt to Georgetown Market Days. we were on the corner of 7th and main street in a 10x10 tent filled with many bails of hay, a great wooden table, lots of burlap, and pumpkins galore. we were even stationed around the corner from the arbonne post (my cute boy's aunt and her hubby) which added even more fun and excitement to bounce back and forth between each other cracking jokes all day. it was my kind of day;)
from our location we heard the bag pipers piping, saw a grand L-shaped wonderland of booths, smelled the kettle corn (seriously) stationed on the street next to us, and watched children somersault and play on the courthouse lawn all day. it was a brisk cool fall day....perfect for pumpkin purchasing!

and so the grand little pumpkin patch full of an adorable pumpkin family that lived inside our tent dwindled to less than half(!!) by the time we closed up shop. it is true...they were well received.

totally loved.

totally gobbled up in time for the holidays.

totally and completely validated the artist.

and her help;)

one sweet lady came back later in the day to show us on her camera what it looked like when she went home to display her Jolly Jack pumpkin (that her daughter bought her earlier that morning) on her dining room table surrounded by fall greenery and such. she was so excited to show us her display...and that was awesome!

she landed herself in a Georgetown bookstore window (7 of her darlings!!) shining brightly on the square for the shopping world to see!

i'm serious.

no really.

i thought i would burst.

but i teared up instead.

and so did the other 2 generations.

and we were mostly speechless and giddy the rest of the afternoon (thank goodness it was the end of the day).

grandma has all of the pictures of the event. and when i get them from cousin barbie, i will post them. for now, just enjoy mum's grand news!
