saturday.

i slept in this morning til 8:20 and it was great.  great great great.  i ventured down to the farmers market and then headed out on a loooong drive to a neighborhood i've been eying for quite a while now.  in truth, i was only going to get another look at this darling home that i can only remember as my dream if i ever was in a position to have my dream.  it wasn't fancy or modern, but cottage-y and fantastic.  it was tucked away in this quaint neighborhood a mile from the shore of the lake.  in fact it was so tucked away that i never found it:(  i seriously searched driving up and down those unorganized, completely confusing, wooded, hilly streets.  there were children riding bikes, mothers and children walking, joggers, and teenagers walking around.  i decided after about 45 minutes i looked a bit stalkerish and that i should probably throw in the towel (the neighborhood seriously isn't even that big!).  so i left ready to quit wasting brain space on that little treasure because i just simply can't even remember all the details of it to keep savoring.  so just like that, it's gone from my mind.
i stopped into the grocery store for a few quick items and came home to nap.  yes, i said it.  after my nap i took a bath complete with mani/pedi.
somehow evening came.  i decided to do the dishes.  my dishwasher has been broken and in my house, that means they don't get done:)  they won, and i did my domestic duties.  i've sorted the laundry and am washing.  the kitchen is clean at last.  the boys room is organized (cause he mostly keeps it that way) as it the rest of the house.  except for the dark hole of a bedroom that always always always looks like an explosion only targeting clothes has gone off.  i will conquer that tonight cause i'm so on a roll.  i mean, i've only been trying to rev myself up for 14 hours...it's about time i just did it.  of course, last resort for everything is to blog about it AND THEN do it.  it's a part of my stalling process, which you've likely caught on to by now.
i tried music earlier and honestly sarah did help with the first round of dishes and such.  i swear my mind is so emotionally charged (although i wasn't emotional even in the least).  if i'm left to myself in silence it's like my body/mind hits pause.  and i practically sit/stand/walk in PAUSE.  i'm sure that makes no sense.  music is like play.  and then the cd/playlist ends or is overplayed, or the empowering songs die out.
tonight there was a movie on tv.  TV!  i don't have cable so a movie on tv is just awesome.  the thing that worked best about this was that it sucked me in completely.  and the commercials jolted me back to my duties at which point i got started right away and worked the whole time...quite a productive gal in those minutes.  and then i got to go back to the movie world and incorporate my "me" time.  do you ever feel guilty for watching a whole movie like i do?  it's the worst.  i get too antsy and i have to get up and do stuff.

so the movie is over now and i'm left to continue the laundry (goal: COMPLETION.  i'll accept nothing less), put away the final round of dishes, and put away all these blasted clothes.
tomorrow i'm decorating for easter after church and i'm excited.  i love our easter stuff.  i didn't even put up my valentines mantle this year cause i was barely getting over christmas!  but i'm ready for some decorations to spice up this place.  mom and grandma will be here tomorrow too and monday we'll get to see barbie and her family cause they are coming into town.  i need them here to rev me up for this week.  i think we're down to 9 days tilTAKS.  only 5 of my peeps passed the math practice that we took a couple weeks ago and i pretty much want to die over it.
on that note i should probably share that I SIGNED MY CONTRACT!!  i'm still a working girl even if my people bomb:)  i'm still a working girl even amongst the budget cuts.  i'm still a working girl.  i think i'm getting some sparkling grape juice to celebrate with the fam when they get here.  cause that is darn good news;)

was this the most random boring post to exist in blog world?  yikes!
stalling.officially.over.
